SHREC
is a tool for
characterizing (in the sense of computing maxima, minima and saddles) a
surface
with or without boundary with respect to a real function by computing a
set of
contour levels. Starting from such a characterization, SHREC is also
able to
compute a Reeb graph of the surface.
SHREC implements the algorithm defined at IMATI/Genova
for characterizing a triangle
mesh and extracting the corresponding Extended Reeb graph
representation.
Currently, only binaries for recent Linux OSs are available for
download. The tool has been tested on
RedHat
7.* and Fedora Core4 versions
of Linux.
The only system requirement is a working installation of the OpenGL
libraries (or compatible, i.e. MesaGL).
SHREC is freeware for non commercial purposes. Read the
licence file for further information.
