Keywords: Landscape evaluation, Geographical Information Systems. Abstract: The aim is to develop a system for landscape assessment tuned for different classes of end users such as regional authorities, estate agents and tourist boards. The key aspect is the integration of different technologies such as GIS, data bases, remote sensing, expert systems in order to evaluate the landscape, to produce thematic maps and develop a decision support system.
